Privacy
Plain English, no legal fog. Last updated 1 September 2026.
The short version
If you join my mailing list I keep your name and email address so I can tell you when a new book is out. That's it. I don't sell your details, I don't share them with advertisers, and you can leave at any time using the link at the bottom of every email I send.
What I collect, and why
When you fill in a form on this site, I collect:
- Your name — so my emails can say hello properly.
- Your email address — so I can send them.
- Which book or series you signed up from — so I can tell you about the ones you actually care about rather than emailing you about everything.
The legal basis is your consent. You give it by entering your details and confirming through the email I send you, and you can withdraw it whenever you like.
Who else handles it
My mailing list runs on MailerLite, who store your details and deliver the emails on my behalf. They act as my data processor and don't use your details for anything of their own. My website is hosted by a static hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs.
Analytics
This site currently runs no analytics at all.
How long I keep it
For as long as you want to hear from me. If you unsubscribe, I remove you from the active list. If you'd rather be erased entirely, ask and I'll delete the record.
Your rights
If you're in the UK or EU, you have the right to ask what I hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to get a copy of it, and to object to how I use it. Ask and I'll sort it out — there's no process to go through, it's just me.
If you think I've handled your data badly and I haven't put it right, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office.
Links to Amazon
The buy links on this site take you to Amazon, who have their own privacy policy that governs what happens once you're there.
